It is essential to do 2 weeks of preparation which will allow a degree of natural fungal die-off to take place so that possible detox reactions are minimised. This assists in lowering the overall load the body has to manage when the rest of the fungus is killed off and ensures the liver and bowel are able to cope with that job. After the preparation period is done, start the Fungal Stop as outlined below. We recommend that Fungal Stop is used under the supervision of an experienced practitioner or vet. Fungal Stop is safe for use in all mammals.

Die-off reactions (a result of the fungus being killed) are to be expected with any antifungal which is effective. It is strongly recommended that 2 drops of our iodine is used in conjunction with Fungal Stop as Fungal Stop will deplete iodine to some extent.

Fungal Stop is not to be used in pregnancy or breastfeeding mammals.

Diet

In our experience, it is essential to stop feeding the fungus. We find there is a lot of confusion over this topic and some of the information out there is pretty bad. A diet that is too restrictive can lead to mal-nourishment and another set of problems, as well as being very difficult to maintain.

The things that can feed the fungus and upset the immune system can vary a lot from individual to individual. Our advice is to get our Food and Chemical Sensitivity Test done. When dealing with a Candida infection you want the immune system to be focusing on the infection, not on a bunch of problem foods and substances.

Testing generally makes the diet a lot less restrictive and means energy and effort can be focused where it counts the most. If you get this test done, we provide all the information as to sensible and do-able alternatives for the foods you may need to remove.

If you opt not to test you may unknowingly continue to consume foods and food chemicals that are feeding the problem. 

As a minimum avoid all:

*Yeast – Baker’s and brewer’s yeast. Read labels to know where this occurs. Do not assume anything! You will find them in stuff like marmite, vegemite, beer, bread, rolls, buns, pita breads, panini, some wraps – check labels.

*Sugars – Any form of cane sugar such as white, raw, brown, Demerara, golden syrup, evaporated cane juice, molasses, or anything ending in “ose” (glucose, sucrose, fructose, maltose, dextrose etc…) that is added as an ingredient. Again, check labels. Alternatives = stevia, Bettasweet. Avoid all other sweeteners until the Candida is under control and trial cautiously there-after.

*Refined foods – especially baked goods, white rice, highly refined crackers like corn thins and white rice crackers, processed  cereals, muesli bars, packet foods and sweet items. Most of the commercial products made from wheat fall into this category. DO NOT fall into the gluten-free trap. A lot of the gluten-free alternatives are made from highly refined white rice flour, corn starch and potato flour which are excellent fungus feeders.

*Starchy root veges in all but VERY small quantities. Avoid potatoes totally and if a root vege is included, go for raw beetroot, raw or steamed carrot, steamed yams and steamed kumara. We can’t emphasise enough the need to keep the portion size small.

*Alcohols – found in beverages, liqueurs, body products, some cleaning products.

*MSG, flavour enhancers, preservatives, flavours and food colours.

A really simple version of OK foods:

*All non-starchy vegetables – herbs, avocado, zucchini, green leafy veg, peppers, tomato, colourful non-root veges (although we have had a number of people test as intolerant to some vegetables which is another reason why testing is recommended).

*All low GI fruit – berries, apple, pear, tamarillo, citrus (although we have had a number of people test as intolerant to citrus and sometimes other fruit which is another reason why testing is recommended).

*All proteins – meat, fish, chicken, eggs, seafood, tofu.

*All Low GI seeds/grains/legumes – quinoa, oats, beans, chia seeds, ground flaxseed, buckwheat, chickpeas, peas, beans.

*Crackers can be savoury oat cakes, rye crackers or pumpernickel bread, buckwheat thins – (provided there is no gluten intolerance, which again is where testing is recommended).

*Pasta can be made from quinoa, buckwheat, Edame Beans, Mung Beans and Black Beans. Kelp noodles also work well.

*Coconut oil, coconut milk and coconut cream can be used where dairy is a problem. (Again testing is good for determining whether this is actually a problem). Use coconut, rice milk, almond milk or oat milk but check for added sugar.

*Nuts in moderation.

*Seeds – sunflower, pumpkin, flaxseed, hemp, chia, sacha inchi.

A whole food diet that limits processed food and focuses on vegetables, protein and high fibre foods is essential. All labels should be checked thoroughly and if purchasing food out, ask questions!

The biggest issue will be processed and packet foods. Many of the Paleolithic Diet recipes are good.

Do vegetable and protein stir-fries; Laksa or vegetable soups with mung bean pasta added and seafood or chicken; salads with protein added; egg and vegetable scrambles; vege sticks with hummus dips; rye crackers with avocado and protein or hummus; mountain wraps with plenty of protein and vegetables as filling.

Preparation
  • Use Purely Earth Essential Detox Minerals to help facilitate healthy liver function and good digestion. In our experience, these are essential. Yeast and fungi produce many toxic by products and these minerals ensure the detox systems can cope better with the job you are going to ask them to do. Use at 1 drop per kg of body weight for mammals up to 30 kg and 2 ml total for larger mammals. Put the minerals into water or food.
  • Use Purely Earth Diatomaceous Earth at 1 heaped tsp for mammals 35 kg and over in water or food at night to assist with breaking down the biofilms the fungi can hide in. For smaller mammals use 1 flat tsp.
  • We strongly recommend you use an intestinal cleanser for 2-4 weeks which removes pathogenic bacteria, worms and some of the yeast load. Not all products are equal and the combination we recommend is Dr. Wilson’s Squeaky Clean and Bodyguard.
  • Use a quality probiotic. Dr. Wilson’s Squeaky Clean has probiotics in it as well as the fibre to sweep the gut clean.
  • After 2 weeks of the above preparation and dietary modification, start the Fungal Stop and continue the minerals, the Squeaky Clean and the Diatomaceous Earth throughout the Fungal Stop process.
What to Take Fungal Stop In

Fungal Stop is a fat soluble off-white powder and MUST be taken in fatty food as part of a meal.

It is tasteless and dissolves into fat easily. It is best to mix it into a fatty food such as nut butter, sardines, avocado, runny egg yolk. You can also mash it into 100 gm of fresh cooked or tinned salmon or mix it into 100 gm of full fat unsweetened yoghurt. 

Always include with a full meal – it needs a substantial amount of fat and the presence of other food to ensure correct absorption across the gut lining. 

For cats and dogs, mix into wet food that contains fat. For vegetarian mammals, grind into a good portion of ground flaxseeds and include as part of the daily feed ration. 

How Often 

Fungal Stop is taken once a day and it doesn’t matter where in the day.

Take it for 5 days, break for 10 days, take for 5 days, break for 10 days, take for 5 days. It stays active for another 10 days.

The Dose

The product comes with a scoop and a dosing chart on the brochure. Please follow the relevant guideline on the product brochure. A loosely packed, level scoop is equivalent to approximately 2.5-3 gm. 1 pot of 55 gm will treat a mammal weighing up to 80 kg. If the mammal is heavier than this, more than 1 pot will be required. If the fungal condition improves but does not disappear with the first course, a second course may be required.

Side Effects

There are no known side effects from the product itself. It is non-toxic and does not break down into toxic compounds in the body. Any “side effects” are usually from the fungus or yeast dying off.

When fungi die they release spores to ensure their survival and these will travel outside of their initial zone. It is not unusual to get “new” yeast symptoms during the die-off process as the spores may try to populate elsewhere. It is important to continue the treatment and to manage these symptoms using our clay and any other means that may be appropriate. Your practitioner or vet will be able to help here.
